Gas Testing with Permit in Houston & Texas City

If your gas service has been shut off due to a gas leak or because the gas has been inactive for more than six months, the local gas provider may require a gas test and permit before service can be restored. At Buddy’s Plumbing, our staff pulls the required permit with the appropriate city or local jurisdiction, pressure tests the gas system, and coordinates the required inspection process. During the test, the gas lines are pressurized and monitored to explain whether the system is holding pressure properly or if repairs may be needed before gas service can be safely restored. If the gas system passes inspection and holds pressure successfully, we coordinate with the inspector and gas provider so service can be reconnected. If issues are discovered during testing, we also help identify problem areas and discuss repair or gas line replacement options depending on findings.
